Calvin, who is in first grade, is a budding naturalist with a remarkable memory. He and his grandfather are wearing Smoky the Bear hats, which sat in a stack in front of our Natural Resources Career Camp (NRCC) display at the Oregon Ridge Lodge on March 16th. Inside the nature center, Calvin quickly identified the many objects on display inside a large glass terrarium, missing only the oyster, which, to be frank, looked like a rock.
Outside, the turkey gobbled, the geese honked, and the chickens clucked in their cages. Calvin made an impressive sand castle. It was a lovely day for a visit!
