Our Baltimore County Forestry Board (BCFB) is excited to bring back the annual March Environmental Workshops, which were canceled in 2020. We are restarting this exciting workshop day on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 9 AM to 3 PM, with food provided.
Location: Oregon Ridge Lodge in Oregon Ridge Park and near Oregon Ridge Nature Center.
The doors open at 8:00 AM.
This year’s focus is on The Web of Life with topics that address:
- Maryland snakes, their importance and safety
- The destruction of the Monarch Butterfly by herbicides, logging, and loss of habitat.
- Biothreat to trees such as the spotted lantern fly.
- Bees, insecticides and the web of life that affects them.
- Phenology and the timing of tree, bird, and insect life cycles affected by climate change.
